Compairing the prices of all this shit that I want to upgrade my computer many people told me to goto newegg.com. I went there because people said they were cheaper but, to my suprise they were actually more expensive for the one thing i severly want and thats a new ATI x800. Looking at the prices at compUSA (although i try to avoid actual computer stores) CompUSA beat out thier price easily. CompUSA's x800 Pro cost only 400 while newegg.com wants 475 while i could goto comp USA and get the much better ATI x800 XT for 25 more while newegg doesn't even carry the XT version of the x800. But then I checked out the RAM card i'm getting its much cheaper on newegg. Maybe Newegg bumps up the prices on new arrivals?

Interesting. Another good site to hit for deals on lots of stuff, but mostly tech stuff is http://www.thedailydeals.com

Indeed, and they have drastic sales on stuff that's older sometimes.

Like any online shop, its hit and miss.

You can always check on eBay. :D

The card is so expensive on NewEgg because it isn't widely available yet. If you check out any electronic stores (Best Buy, CompUSA) you will see that the card only costs $400, but the majority of the retailers don't have them in stock yet. Once the card is widely available, the price will drop to $400 on NewEgg and other sites just like it. Until then, you'd be better off buying the card from CompUSA.
