Ok, well this show is finally finishing, and if you are like me, you did not watch any of it. Come on, last night was stanley cup game 1!!!
Anyway, we have not had a poll in a long time, so its time to put one up. Who do you think should/will win? Diana or Fantasia?
Discuss....
I vote Fantasia. Everyone here at my work watches this think and says she rocks the house. Plus she is a local girl from here in High Point, NC (which is where I grew up and went to school). So that is my vote.

They both suck and I refuse to watch the show or vote here.
It wont matter which person wins they will not have a successful singing career.

I'd rather be deaf than buy Fantasia's CD...ok, maybe not but at least temporarily so. She has the most obnoxious voice. I wouldn't have had Fantasia make the final round much less win it. The whole show has been a fraud though so I expect Fantasia will win. I think Amy Adams quite likely was the best of the final round competitors.

I'm with Lavis. I saw a clip of both of them on the news (although why American Idol was on the news is beyond me) and they both sound like skanky whores who can't sing. I'd choose Tommy Tutone anyday. Or even the News (the band) although they are not all that bad.

As far as I can tell, that's just because of one week where the voters were complete idiots and kept the crappy white guy who Simon dissed and three far more talented black singers ended up at the bottom of the heap. The next week, those three were at the top, and the crappy white guy got voted off. All it proves to me is that when Simon comes down hard on somebody, it earns them a lot of sympathy votes.

The final seven was four black, one islander, one white, and one hispanic-looking, Italian-named person in Diana. Considering John Stevens looks Irish there was nary a WASP in the final 7.
I thought Jennifer was awful as well, never got the hype about her. The producers/judges of AI seem to like women that oversing. Latoya was much better than Jennifer and Fantasia. I don't really like Witney Houston or Celine Dion for the same reason, divas are no fun.

I dont watch it but im gonna vote for Diana lol.
Fantasia won. I didn't watch the whole show or any of it. I did see two of her songs and I think they were very weak, not suited for her. I didn't hear the other singer, however.

Alright, so she won. I guess I am happy because I was pulling for her, but I dont think I have actually heard her sing.

I relied on the SportsCenter top 10 plays of the day to tell me who won. They've been doing stupid stuff like that recently - the winner of The Bachelor was also one of the "plays of the day." :arg:

I have a question. How can a show be racist if it is voted on by the public? Woulden't that make the people who watch the show racist? Just something to think about.

Because the show is fixed and the producers are the ones who actually determine who is voted off and who stays.

well lets say that the votes do matter, and that the people do decide who goes and stays, if that is true, then that would make everyone who watches a racist. I find that widely hilarious.

Yeah, but Anarchey, the question remains...in what way has the show or its results proven rascist in any way? Perhaps Jennifer was voted off because people, like me, can't stand her oversinging. There are many of reasons to find for oddities in results other than race.

yea, but it still is funnier to call all the ditsy blondes who watch that show racist.
I was thinking of that too. I think the REAL issue here is that racism forces people to vote for who they don't want to (in many cases) to avoid being called a "racist."

but there is a differance between having an honest opinion and being a racist, like if you honestly think that a white woman is better looking than a black woman for example, that is not racism, but if, everytime, even if the comparison is between, say Beyonce (is that how you spell her name) and a girl named Moose, you choose the white woman, then you could be racist, or have a sick fetish
