Do you think it'll be a good idea to place bots into Halo 2's multiplayer games? All the old modes are coming back (CTF, Slayer, Oddball, etc.) and some new ones... Do you think that it would be nice to have bots for those who do not have Xbox Live?
I, for one, think it would be perfect idea to have. Having bots means you can gain practice with the new levels, weapons, and even develop new strategies, then kick ass online or during a LAN party.
What do you guys think?

I've always liked having bots in games... for pretty much the reasons you're saying. It can be fun to play against really crappy bots sometimes, too. I don't have Live, so that's all the more reason I'd like to see bots in there.

I say no, i think the thing that made halo multiplayer so great was the human competition. I know that the AI is going to be awesome in Halo 2, but i still say no.

yeah well i liked bots, and they were fun when you were alone at night and just didnt want to deal with other people, bots dont make fun of you, unless they were from unreal

I like bots, they are so fun to humiliate (as much as you could possibly do that to a computer). COMP STOMP TIME. :D

... are you serious? If you are, you might as well stop saving up, because I HIGHLY doubt it will have bots.

I mean, right now I am by myself., I have NO reason to play Halo by myself. If there were bots, I'd be practicing for Halo 2. But there aren't any and solo mode basically sucks with the reptitive environments. Having bots can ONLY make the game better. Disabling them for Xbox Live would not even be a problem....

i vote no cuz ppl will make 2 person rooms and have private only slot as one slot and use a bot on easy and kill it alot to stat up....

Like I said before, disabling the bots for Live would not be an issue, really. Offline bots are fine -- just a good way to play without friends around. Also a GREAT way to hone my skills.

Bots would be good for a quick large game. Insted of searching for a game with lots of people and a good connection you can just play against bots.
though they'll never replace a real person, it would be fun once in awhile. Though bots could slow down the game.

I had a damn dream about this! Don't ask me why, but I was in Bungie studios and they showed me a way to get bots on halo and halo 2!! AHHHH! And then a dragon came in and asked if she had any messages.

How fast is everyone's speed?
www.bandwidth.com for a more in-depth test, but www.cnetcom works too.
Mine is supposed to be 3mbps, but it's only about 2.4mbps...with like nearly 400kbps upload. I'm contacting my ISP to find out why it's below 3mbps by that much.
