I dont they they released any translated about the beta test, but there has been feedback in japanese. This is from The Explorers Guild (http://explorers.fragism.com/gl-bin/forum/index.php) forums, it was translated article (by Requiem):
The Japanese Beta Site is almost done with it's initial sign-up of participants and some have already recieved their bundles for the beta, they've also started sending in feedback.
***Fight System: So far it seems that the fighting will be turnbased/realtime. Basically everything happens in realtime but over a period of time, if you look at the videos that showcase the fighting, the system works as such---> The one of higher stat level gets in the first attack, then it goes back and forth based on stats, so if you have a character that very fast/agile they might be able to get in two hits per "turn", the game that best depicts the fight system is supposedly Star Wars: KOTOR. So.....what does this mean, YOU WILL NEED GROUP ASSISTANCE. It was stated that this game would encourage group play. Basically, all enemies will be alot stronger than you in the beginning. "Imagine playing PSO on Ultimate mode....." was one of the feedback comments.
***Magic Attacks: The magic attacks are going to be elemental based and character based. Some of the Classes are-->Water, Air, Earth, Light, Shadow...... Most of the spells can only be learned by certain character types. Like Chilto can learn almost all of the Water and Earth attacks while the Vugols lean more toward Earth based magic than anything else. Basically, it's what you would think.
Elves-can learn almost everything
Humans-can learn about half of everything
Chilto-they can learn 75% about as much as the elves
Vugols-if you like magic then steer away from these guys because they are more towards strength than magic
Dwarves-mainly earth and water with a little light and some air magic for spice
##Most higher level magic has to either be earned in boss battles or found##
***Areas/Landscapes/Towns: Each area holds a story which means each area has like a million side missions, some are for extra money or for just plain fun. One confirmed mission is: "The Cook Off" this is were a gathering of players have to go in the wild, kill a Cocktrice and cook it. Whoever does it the fastest wins______?! Sorry but I don't even know what the word is for english. Some towns hold ghosts or even some deadly mysteries for solving. Belcantus, from beta comments, holds a deadly riddle in which a once powerful wizard harnised the power of the sun in a crystal to forge a sword.....All I know is that crystals, if given to the right smith can be turn into sword....Can anyone say "Super Death Slayer Sword"
Basically the town section will be posted upon daily, so 03/15/04 I'll post some info on Cleria, then on Belcantus, then Domina Perry.
***Forest/Land: Coming Soon
***Character Class Specialzation: You will be surprised come 03/15/04

People; group; required; yes; loved.
You don't realize how much group contact is required to keep a game fun. Play SWG for one day and you'll find out. There's no point to grouping and it gets boring fast alone, that's the same for all MMORPGs. Group required? Yes; <3; yay.
Hmm I wonder if that means a Chiltos with a dagger would get 4 hits per turn.. or something.. hmm..
Oh and if you RP as a loner, it's the same as in real life, it'd be very difficult rather than if you had help.
