Kenshin's Guide To Starting A Clan
first you need people who want to be in a clan thats no problem since there are plenty out there. Then you need GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLZ! thats a must which is hard to come by on with computer gamers so oyu may want to find somone to join your clan with that skill. Then you need somone who can do web design. Finally you need to create a website setup practices find out who your active members are and who your non active members are then kick the non active members out of the clan. Oh yeah sometimes you might need money for like domain space if you want a professional site.

You need to enjoy playing together and you all need to get along.
You also have to keep up on current games and not always focus on playing just one game.
Playing tournaments and clan games isn't always necessary.
I'm in a clan called VIP (Victory In Place) and we play very few clan matches because we have trouble getting things together with other clans. We tried to find a good Live clan website that keeps track of wins and such, but they all have flaws and teams try to cheat for wins.
Mostly we just have fun playing together. We're just a group of guys (and a few girls) who enjoy talking on our forums and just enjoy getting together on Live to play with somebody you know.

You kidnap the most skilled players known today and force them to win tourneys for you.

I have never done much with clans before. I played in a clan years ago in TFC. I was rocking through their ranks for a while, but I did not have time to practice and have clan meetings and crap. I only played the game to have fun, not to make a career or life out of it. And besides, I really did not need any. They got mad because I did not attend that stuff so I just dropped. They asked me to come back for a while, but I was never interested.
I then later joined a clan in DoD, which did not stress meetings and practice. We all just posted on the DoD forums and then got on around the same time for some good team play action and then sometimes played around with some pics and crap. It was fun, but nothing official I guess.
Thats all my clan experience.

Well I heard that Rainbow Six 3 is going to have clan in their set up of their game.
I have said this before, Socom 2 is one of my favorite online shooters and they have Clan built right into the game, which is real nice.
I am very excited that an xbox game is doing the same, because it's alot easier to manage a clan if you have features set up inside the game

Hi guys, I've been a member for a while, but this is my first post.
I'm a member of a clan and we all got together because we were sick of playing loud mouthed little jerks (lol you know the kind of people I mean). The whole thing started as fun and still is, but that doesn't mean we like to lose. Most of the guys and girls in my clan are older gamers (25+) so we get together most fridays and saturdays, add some alchohol to the equation and let rip on XBL. You don't have to be the most skilled players to be in a clan, to me its more about meeting up with some good friends and having a laugh.
