View Full Version : I'm pretty sure i'm selling my xbox.

I think i have decided it's best to sell my Xbox, i bought the xbox over the gamecube due to me wanting to play Morrowind, TFLO. I'm not getting highspeed internet, so there goes TFLO. Morrowind is boring now. All the upcoming games i know of that aren't for live i know i won't enjoy, so i think selling my xbox for a gamecube would be best. Nintendo and Sony have the games wich i have a taste for, i'll probally leave this community due to me not caring about TFLO or Xbox anymore.. I'm going to miss you guys! And xbox, in some ways..

Nah, i don't like those kind of games, but i do enjoy some xbox and upcoming xbox games..... maybe if gamecube is cheap enough i can get it, it's so hard to make a choice.

you can pick up a gamecube at EB now for around 70 to 80 bucks, so it's damned cheap. so, sell your box if you want to.
anyways, you shouldn't leave this community b/c you don't have the box anymore. hell, i NEVER intend on owning a box, and i'm on here.

Nooooooo Myu dont go :( It wont be the same without you! Also what kind of games do you like, xbox has a good variety of games of different genres so you can still keep it and have a few more good laughs wit it.

i don't like the idea of having three systems, + i need the cash. i can kiss mmorpgs pretty well bye with my non-understanding mom and my living area, so gamecube and ps2 are best for my type of gaming. but i'll probally still come here a little bit.
you always talk to me on aim MG, so it's okay. =P
Myukoi
04-05-2004, 01:25 AM
Nevermind, mom said "No, you just bought it, and there are plenty of games, find one you like and play it!"
guess i gotta give up not on just mmorpgs, but gaming itself. =/

Oh god I remember the first time I heard about Xbox to.
That was back in the PS1 days.
I think it was the Holiday when the PS2 launched...I was at a friends house and we were talking about dumb shit as usual and someone brought up that Microsoft was makeing a BlackBox as he said it.
Now all of us have xbox, but none of them have xbox live... I still laugh at them...
----
And how that hell can you not like any other games... I pity you just because of the fact you limit yourself so much and are so picky about the exact kind of gameplay you MUST play.
Broaden your horizons.
I'll admit I dont play sports games just because of the fact I dont enjoy sports, I dont even watch sports... cept golf (but thats a different story). I really cant stand sports games with the exception of 2 games...
NFL Blitz Only becuase of the fact you could tackle a guy then get back up and tackle his ass again... it never got old.
Top Spin I just liked this game and I really dont know why.
But my question to you is... How can you like one gerne and one gerne only? I couldn't imagen myself playing only FPS games and nothing else I would go insane. Likewise if I only played adventure games or RPG's or single player games.

game cube has NO good RPG's if you stick with Xbox you will still get Fable and Sudeki, plus all the other great non-rpg games coming out for xbox

I enjoy fighting, roleplaying, survival horror, and certain action/adventure. Oh, and of course certain silly games that come out every now and then, anyway for GC i already have main titles i want..
Animal Crossing
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Tales of Symphonia
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
(maybe) Pokemon Colloseum
blah blah, etc etc.

I guess i might continue the quest for cable, even if the xbox and there slutty playboy events and there community and sport/shooter games don't appeal to me.

Have you searched everywhere for high speed providers? There's gotta be at least 1. Try searching on Google for "High Speed Internet Insert town/state name"

Well, whether you sell or not, be sure to stick around here. Always hate to lose a forumer.
They say the XBox is good for RGPs. The only RPG games I am into are Morrowind (on my XBox) and KotOR (on my PC).

Yea, keep your xbox, a whole slew of good games are coming out this year.

Myukoi I think you can get XB Connect, or Gamespy Tunnel, to play most of the xbox live games. You can even use voice chat on some. PSO and TFLO are about the only ones you can't play.
You can also play the Yu-Gi-Oh game online with one of those programs.
Iron Chef

As others have mentioned try to stay in touch Myukoi. You'd be sorely missed otherwise. /=
There's a Yu-Gi-Oh game coming out for the Xbox, I'm not sure how good (or bad) the game is though. I'd recommend PSO but some genius decided to make Xbox Live mandatory for Offline play.

I've tried to play a few Yu-Gi-Oh games recently, and although I've watched most episodes of the TV show... I have had a tough time guessing my way through the rules. I didn't have the game manuals - would that have made a difference?
Iron Chef

In all honesty I don't know squat about the game rules. Hopefully someone here can help you out though.
There are two Digimon games coming out as well. Digimon World 4 is a Role Playing Game but Digimon Rumble Arena 2 seems to be a 2-D fighting game.
lol the xbox community doesn't appeal to you. Thanks teehee *huggles Myukoi* Don't leave. There are a lot of good games coming out this year, and we can use more girls around here not less.
NiXenith

The Yu-Gi-Oh game is already out, it's basically the same as the GBA ones, just with better graphics.
Yu-Gi-Oh is possibly the most simple card game ever made, so I don't know why anyone would have problems with it, unless you were playing the screwed up PS2 or GC games, or you didn't read the instructions that came with the game.
Both those Digimon games come out in May.
I don't know much about DW 4, except that it's going to have real time combat.
The original Rumble Arena was essentially a Smash Bros. clone, so the new one should be fun.

I know why Myukoi would want to leave if he/she is only into RPGs. Who can honestly say that there is alot of good RPGs for the Xbox? I know three, Morrowind, KotOR, and Deus Ex. They say that there is alot of good RPGs......but where in the hell are they??? Fable looks promising but that probably wont come out for another two years because of all these cancel happy morons!!!

Glad to hear that you're staying Myukoi. ^.^
I hope the Xbox gets some more solid turn based RPGs. We need more variety.
Other RPGs on the Xbox include:
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II
Gladius
Black Stone: Magic & Steel
Shenmue II
PSO
Magic The Gathering: Battlegrounds
Dungeons & Dragons Heroes
Upcoming RPGs include:
TFLO (duh)
Fable (double duh)
Knights of the Old Republic II
Roots
Future Tactics
Sudeki
Memorick: The Apprentice Knight
What I really want is for the rumors of new Grandia and Lunar games to be true. I'd purchase any video game console (except for the Virtual Boy) to play those games.
NiXenith
04-09-2004, 06:38 AM
Would you buy an N-Gage to play Grandia or Lunar?
Myukoi

Haha, virtual boy. Anyway, you forgot Jade Empire, from bioware. It's going to be awesome.

Damn, I knew I left out one or two, but Jade Empire?? O_o;; I've got to stop posting so late at night.
And yes, I would buy an N-Gage at full price for a new Grandia or Lunar game or the full Lunar Collection. I would buy anything upto and including a 3DO or (dare I say) CDi for those games…..but..I'd have to be pretty drunk to get the CDi. Still, it's within the realm of possibility.

Now CL, I think we've all agreed that you're the silly goose around here. None (or at least very few) of us would argue that there aren't any good games for GC. As far as I can tell, you're the only one around here arguing that because you have a favorite system, all other systems must be worthless.

Silly goose. this may just be because it is late and i have a head-ake (sp?), but isn't nintendo's line-up slowing down. This is going to come back and slap me in the face, but all i can think of is Pikmin 2, but man does it look awesome!!!!

Okay I read about half of the thread and skipped to the end..
1. XBOX = Action type games
2. PS2 = RPG Games
3. Gamecube = Party type games/fun misc games
I didn't own an XBOX or Live until yesterday.

well he couldn't really say anything else because gamecube has a large mix of titles not specifing just 1 type of genre like most other consoles are. Hes not saying thats all they have I mean they have a big ass sports selection too. and then they got horror survival games like RS4 and Eternal Darkness and stuff like that. But i must say GC is appealing much to the younger crowed which I think was kinda a mistake that could be why the sales are low. I mean look at the new zelda they could have made it a bloody hack and slash gibbing game but they opted for the more cartoonish look to appeal to kids.
and to call somone ignorant over his personal opinion is extremly n00bish.

Notice that he didn't say what other things the GC offers that are nice - I can never understand people who stir up problems just for the sake of having problems. I gotta agree with Kenshin. He wasn't saying that's all each console offers - he was saying that if you're looking for those types of games, that's the console you're best off with.
