I’m going to, I already found a place that sells Japanese Xboxes, and XBL kits. I’ll probably have the Japanese Xbox by the end of January, and the XBL kit by Christmas.

i think you should wait really, waste of money cause you cant talk the language so it will be hard as hell to party and read the menu(kanjii is hard as fuck) and plus when the US version comes out you'll have to buy it again.

Ok, ok first off, it’s not a waste of money. I’ve been playing imported games for years, in fact the only reason I bought a PS1 was to play Japanese exclusive games. I used to own a Japanese Dreamcast, and still have the stuff needed to play Japanese PS1, PS2, and GC games.
There are several Xbox games that I want to play, that are only for Japan. Namely Thousand Land, and J Phoenix, I also wanna play Tekki Taisen when it comes out in Japan.
Menus are no prob, I’ll just figure them out through process of elimination, or type the characters on Babel fish, and let it translate it, or get a friend to help. A number of them are in English to.
Buying the game a second time isn’t really that big of a deal to me.

Knowing the language isn’t that big of a deal either, I’m not a talkative Xbox Live gamer. I’ll just memorize some common phrases, or quest with a friend who knows Japanese. I’ll also use emotes a whole lot.

Finally you can play in Japanese servers, and live in America, you need a Japanese XBL and you might have to list your location as Japan. You’ll lag a little more than usual, but Japan has really bad servers so it won’t be that noticeable to everyone else. As for foreign currency… “Visa, it’s everywhere you wanna be.”

As for Japanese games that don't use Live! you can just mod your xbox to play them. Either play the games on DVDs or have them directly on the harddrive. I've done it, played the japanese version of Soul Calibur 2 before it came out here, not really worth it but whatever.

Babelfish will let you type in Kanji? How would you do that?

Stm your stupidity doesn’t even deserve a reply, but I’ve already started typing so it’s to late to stop…
I’m not modding my xbox, I’m buying a new xbox from Japan.
I didn’t understand anything else you said so I can’t reply to it…
