Well,as of last night,I've been kinda thinking about FFXI (which I think will be no substitute for TFLO),but questions have formed just in case,and maybe some of you could help...
#1-If I buy the Sony PS2 modem,will it be like Xbox and I'd have to pay Sony AND FFXI service fees,or is it set to just per game?
#2-I noticed in a magazine ad that FFXI,the online logo underneath says "broadband and dial-up",does this mean DSL is excluded also,or does it mean that "dial-up" and "DSL" are in the same category?
Any help would be appreciated (even help on slapping me in the face and redirecting me to the TFLO threads-lol)...

1.) You just have to pay for the game fees.
2.) You can use dsl, cable, and dialup. No sattelite though.

Thanks,that helps me a lot!!!I'm so torn these days between FFXI and TFLO...I'm just hoping TFLO doesn't let me down...

i dnon't think you can use dail up. Last i heard it was cable/dsl only.

You can use 56k as I remember, FFXI is 56k friendly. I had several friends who played on one.

Yeah, you can use dialup with ps2. Even if it sucks.
I'll probally get FFXI or PSO if i can't wait for TFLO.

Wouldn't dial up drag the whole server down to a grinding halt? Dial up is really really really slow.

If you get PSO(Xbox),look me up!!!With PSO,I've found that (in my case) if I'm not anyone's friend already,then I'm not playing with anyone...I kept my account ONLY because one of my friend's was planning to get it-well he's got it now and it's fun if you can hook up with people willing to play it...

LOL,I never thought about it,but that's what I do with my one friend.He doesn't play it offline,and a level 3 character just can't go in and slay the dragon,so we just chill and level up at the same time...Maybe start a PSO clan based on this-lol...It is very relaxing at night...

ROFLMAO!!!Ya know,when I first got it,I loved it (it's no Morrowind,but I loved it).Lately,I've been playing it online a lot more,and the more I play it,the more it's ranking up there next to Morrowind.That is somewhat of an accomplishment since I've finally quit playing Morrowind after spending one year and eight months almost non-stop on it (I REALLY slowed up after getting GOTY edition).I've never hated PSO,I've only hated the online aspect of it,that is until recently when I have hooked up with some wonderful gamers.Wow,did that last sentence make me sound like Milhouse from the Simpsons?Just drag me aside and beat me up-lol...Point is,that even though 98% of North America may hate it,I'm part of that 2% that love it---that is until TFLO comes out *starts hi-fiveing xbox-evolved*-lol...
