XBOX Customization

I don't know how many times this thread has been made, probably each time the forum has screwed up.

I'm thinking about painting my XBOX dark blood red with a black jewel. Going to use acrylic spray paint, and probably piss my parents off painting it. I may end up screwing up my XBOX, so I'm going to back up my HDD with a few memory cards. I thought about XBOX skins or plastic covers, and they just didn't appeal to me. I felt like doing a project that not many people have done and this is it.

I was searching on the internet of a few pictures of people who have done this before, and I ran across this (http://www.401error.com/401error/xbox/XBOX-shoppingcart.cfm). Pretty cool, except that the LED kit is $40 and I could order some PC LEDs for about $15 off of NewEgg.

Any suggestions on people who have done this or just think it's cool?

Go to www.colorconsoles.com they do it for you with metallic finishes.

Why pay for the shipping and everything when I can do it myself? I mean, it's a Hell of a lot cheaper, and I'll feel like I accomplished something. ^_^

I'm not opening it up or anything, if I decide to put LEDs in it I'm going to have my friend Victor do it.

well the easiest way to paint the case is to take the top off this lets you paint it easily without worrying about getting paint on the parts.

I have not done it myself, but I have thought about it a lot. I think the customization would look sweet bro. Go for it, and of course, (as if you did not know), be careful.

The xbox isn't black actually. ITs dark green, so is the regular xbox controllers. Look at it under the right light and you'll see.

Now, I'm not going to go crazy like this, but they're giving me ideas on what I want to do. I might get my friend Victor to install me some LEDs and **** since I really don't want to screw it up, and if he messes it up he'll buy me a new one.

EDIT: And of course, I'll take a picture of it once I'm done. I'll probably start the project in the springtime, when it's warm outside. Hopefully when I plan to do it there will be no rain for a few days.

My Xbox has a silver skin on it, its much easier to use a skin that way you'll know that your xbox wont get messed up if anything goes wrong.

I like the first and third one. I cant even see the top of my xbox so there really is no reason to do it. I might practice on my old xbox because im getting a new one in a couple days. I ****ed my xbox up when I opened it up. I think I hurt the lense or something.

Here is my customization..it got vandalized by pirates! Also after closely looking at the Xbox casing, I think people just want it to be a tint of green SO hard that they are seeing it, also it may appear that way under most lights, since most lights have a slight-greater yellow tint, put together a black color and you might see a dark green color.
