View Full Version : PS3 vs Xbox 2..what I fear is true.

I have come upon more information from contacts, and I have confirmed what I had feared after hearing a lot about the PS3 and how it actually works. The PS3 WILL be more powerful then Xbox 2, and Microsoft is afraid of even giving out specs for the Xbox 2 for quite sometime, and this is why they are putting so much emphyasis abou thte GDC message being all about the games...the plus side to this is, PS3 will still be very hard to develop for and wont get its power tapped in for quite some time...this is a blow to Xbox fans, and the uphill battle just became upwall battle for us.

That sucks, maybe xbox 2 will be better now. If not, i can always just use Xbox for games, but course if Xbox 2 has some ok games i might buy it.

I still don't see why they are focusing on a new console so early! Xbox is about two years old. Consoles should get a long life.

Well maybe if microsoft would put the damn HD back in the damn thing. Now that MS has said that the XBOX 2 will have no HD, Sony is going to hit us will all they have!

Sony doesn't have to do squat with PS3 to make it sell. There are already millions of ****ing fanboys who will buy it no matter what. It could have a ****ing 1mhz processor and it would still sell millions.

Sony says alot of lies about their products... like psp would be good. Lord of the rings kart.... end of story. I would be surprised if Xbox Next was far more powerful. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well when they were making the PS2, they said it was going to be super powerful and have all of this stuff in it. When it was released it had been stripped down to practically nothing. I'm thinking that's what they are going to do with PS3.

Agreed, i remember that, they said it was going to be like, "100 times more powerfull" than the first Playstation. They are just saying that crap to get hype. I am near positive that the next xbox will be better than ps3, maybe not even more powerfull, but just better (and probably more powerfull too). Microsoft is in this to make money, and they aren't going to be able to by releasing an inferior console power wise, I know this, you know this, and they know this.

i heard the xbox2 wont be backwards compatible :/ that is a major turn off for me, will the ps3 be?
Well we got what? Till 2006 to find out? I think I'm just gonna enjoy my Xbox till then. No sense worring about it now.

Anyways 2005 is probably when we will see Xbox 2, that is four years after Xbox 1, that is the shortest a console life usually is. Let us look at the bright side of all of this, Microsoft will have even BETTER games this time around, this could mean completely owning Nintendo and Sony.

But TFLO is coming out at the end of 2004, near 2005. I think Xbox 2 better come out late 2006 or early 2007.
