On ebgames.com (here's the link) http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/520377.asp it says the game comes out in august! The release date for it on ebgames.com use to be in september but they pushed it back, so it MAY come out this year. They said the Japanese version was delayed not the english.

Sounds like blind optimism to me.

Usually when something happens to the native version of a game (Japanese version in this case) it affects the release of other releases. If they have to touch up something in the Japanese version there's a good chance they'll have to do the same for the N.A. version (and other versions).

Also store sites like ebgames.com are famous for having shipping dates that don't pan out. We should play it safe and keep our hopes grounded for now.

I always get a laugh when I stop at a EB Games store at my local mall.

I just out of curiosity I ask them when they will get different games in.

About a month ago I asked about TFLO. He first gave me a look like I didnt know wtf I was talking about so he put it in his computer and he didnt even have it yet, but the site does? I'll say what I said before I dont believe most dates unless they are offical from Microsoft themselves. Even then though it isnt always true.

If this is true though it would hurt us more. Reason? well the game will be less solid then the Japanese version makeing us jealous when we have a glitchy game.

Microsoft is not going to rush this game, it is their first MMORPG for xbox and xbox live not to mention one of the only RPG's for Xbox.

Yeah, but in like 2006 Xbox 2 is out, xbox live for the xbox dies, so does tflo, and that's the end of it. :'(
It needs ****ing backward compatability.

Nothing you can say about xbox 2 you know as a fact.
All rumors.

Also incase you didnt know, It is thought that a differnet MMORPG will launch around the same time Xbox2 launches.

A year is plenty of time for me to play a game. Xbox Live wont die it is only going be upgraded.

Yeah, but you might not be able to play all the xbox games, i mean with a name like xbox 2 it has to have backward compatability.

Keep in mind, just because the Xbox 2 might come out in 2005, does not mean that True Fantasy Live will die. Most MMORPGs have a 2-3 year lifeline, so I think even after the Xbox 2 makes it's release, True Fantasy will still be quite heavily played. It's not like you won't still have your Xbox anyways...

Even with the Xbox and Dreamcast having decent games upon release, the game line ups for launching consoles are still notoriously weak. I might be playing one or two games for the new consoles, but I'll still be putting time into TFLO (unless by some miracle a MMORPG is launched with a console for the first time in history). Heck, I still play Dreamcast and Saturn games so playing TFLO on the Xbox won't be much of a change. Backwards compatibility will merely provide me the ability to be more lazy while I'm doing it. :)

THAT MIGHT BE TRUE...sigh listen to the master... I heard on late janurary from a source that tflo arrived to america in MS U.S hands. Now what there doing with it that seperate from j.p development is unknown to me. So this "might" be true :-) ALSO if xbox games are compatible with xbox 2 then tflo won't die b/c you can play it on xbox 2 live 3. (HINT server side saves)

I still think the xbox 2 should be able to play xbox games.

Also, I don't know if Microsoft will even be able to afford packaging backward compatibility. I heard somewhere, either in my XBN magazine or another source, that due to poor sales of the Xbox console in comparison to the others, that Microsoft'll cut costs on the next edition. I think I also heard something about a 3rd party manufacturer or something..
