Today i got my

ATI Radeon 9600 128mb
Asus Dvd 16x drive

Parts going to buy on march 26th

Asus mobo kt400
Amd athlon xp 2600 1.9ghz
Maxtor 40g HD
Crucial 184pin 2700256mb of ram - Buying 2
Speakers- Unknown yet

I inserted my dvd/cd combo but could not insert my video card. My mobo is like 7 yrs old and so is most of my parts so it wouldn't fit. When i play a dvd on my new dvd/cd drive it skip at max resolution and even at the smaller resolution. I don't really think its my drive but my video card i m using. I forgot that my vid card (tnt pro 2 32mb) fps sucks major ass. My ati 8mb vid card had a better performance over it. So i m not going to blame my drive until i get my other parts + insert the new video card with it. Oh well guess i can wait a few more weeks :-).

i found my old ati 8 mb card and pretty much works with the dvd. Looks great and no skipping so now i just need to buy the speakers when i get them with the rest of my parts lol. :-) the power of ati over nvidia :-)

I atleast want my speakers b/c reading the subtitles suxs.

Edit:

I also want to take out my heatsink fan b/c it consume 1.25 pounds of dust bunnies. I took out my graphics card to see the built in fan cover in dust bunnies. So before i put in my new stuff the whole case is gonna get a thorough cleaning. My heatsink fan has collected most of the dust bunnies.
