These are like the Oscars for games--the only true way games are measureed by professionals really. Star Wars: KoToR is up for many things including PC, Console, RPG, and Overall game of the year. Grabbed by The Ghoulies is on there for some reason for family game (wtf?), Crimson Skies is on there for action, and Top Spin is on there for sports...

cool, i can't wait to see the results, i hope xbox and KOTOR come out on top (like most of the other GOTY awards i've seen) :D

yeah, the only gaming source i trust on the TV is X-PLAY, i love X-Play, the "Sesman" rocks!

I have to disagree and say every award show I've ever seen seems biased. Yeah, even the AIAS Awards.
You know how they get votes?

MoX can say better why he thinks so, but I bet it's partly because the judges get sent things by the game/movie/music companies - merchandise and such. It's somehow not considered officially a bribe - but I don't know all of the ins and outs.
If I wasn't so lazy, I probably would have found out... but when are these awards given?
