k guys... i need a gaming computer and building a new one. Should i get the

asus mobo and amd athon 2600 xp 2.08 ghz or
shuttle mobo and a intel pentuim 4 1.8 ghz

I m still keeping the same ram and hard drive to add in my cart.

asus + athon + ram+ HD = $286
shuttle + intel+ ram+ +hd = $309.99

With the price diff that small, I like the P4. What is FSB on each mobo?

i did some research and amd handle 5x better with gaming then the pentuim does. I have like a week and a half to decide which kind of computer i want so i rather pick the best.

Check out the FSB of each mobo. You can get a great performance difference with it.

AMDs high end processors (64-bit) beat Intels latest but between the ones u are looking at the Intel is better. It has a faster FSB, therefore it will give you better performance. Also, remember, the processor isn't everything. If you wanna play high end games buy at least a GeForce FX 5200 w/128 vid mem and make sure your system has 512 MB DDRAM.
