Halo2 Official release date

Meh, I can wait. As long as the game absolutely ownz I don't really care. I don't want Bungie to rush the game and release it too early when its not all that it can be. I've got my copy reserved so once the game comes out I'll be waiting.

that picture was the **** too, although its a long wait the game should be GREAT...i hope theres no flood...I think they only put in the flood to put in more content since with the first halo they only had..what 9 months?

Well the problem with the first Halo is that it went through quite a few different stages. It went from being a real-time strategy game to a first-person shooter for the Mac. Then Bungie got bought out and the game came to Xbox and PC. It must have taken Bungie some time to port everything over to the Xbox and PC and to optimize it all (Although the PC version still chugs like a mofo on high-end PCs). And thats not even including them finishing the game, because I believe Bungie was bought out before Halo was actually completed, although Im not too sure. My brain seems to have forgoten. :p

Bungie didn't develop the PC version. GearBox Studio's did.

Bah, knew I was off somewhere. Bungie should have ported the game beacuse GearBox Studio's had no idea what they were doing. The game runs terrible on even high-end PCs. No one has been able to get more than a steady 30 FPS in the game. And thats just high-end PCs. Anything mid-range or low-end will barely run if at all.

I think Goldeneye is a better console FPS and Rainbow Six was a better computer FPS along with MoH:AA. Heck, Marathon had online/LAN gaming been possible back in the days would have been a better FPS than Halo. Marathon has more thoughtful puzzles and better atmosphere considering the abilities of the age.

Yeah, you should come on over to the GCA forums, it's great there, here too, but there's just way more posts/people there. Once this forum gets its actual site back, the members will come rolling in.

I think Halo is the best FPS, but that's only my opinion.

I wouldn't be to suprised if there were some flood in halo 2, i also wouldn't be suprised if we have to go to another ring world, i thought the flood was fun & challenging, i liked it. No matter what they do though, i am sure it is going to be great:D

I got my XBox a little over a year ago. Halo was the first game that I got with it. After the first day, I beat the first 3 levels (could have gone all the way, but I was pacing myself), and decided I needed some more games. So I got NCAA Football and Morrowind. :D

Umm, I had it for like a week in December on rental. I gave up on Library I think (the one where you follow the floating guy) not because I was getting killed, but because the game was boring me. Walking down endless mirrored corridors following the groups of baddies to waste in predictible fashion isn't what I'd call thrilling. The story/production and multiplayer is what made Halo. The single player gameplay left much to be desired.

I bet halo on hard, but only the first level on legendary. Unless your a complete freak who plays games 20 hours a day and has no social life, playing on legendary is hard. Not only are the elites really tough. It takes about 4 hits from the plasma rifle to take out your shields.

I am training for Halo 2 by beating Legendary...and forcing my 2 brothers to beat Halo on Legendary...and when one of us is off Halo 2 online, they go on I want to make sure my name is known across the land!

Halo 2 isn't going to be identical to halo, plus, playing agianst humans is a completely different skill set than playing agianst computers, all playing through single player would do is help you master the controlls

Yeah, elites aren't near as cheap.

Also elites don't kamakzie at random moments in the game.

You gotta start somewhere. Where else can you train? A game like Unreal Championship or Ghost Recon? I'm pretty sure Halo will be the only game to have a comparison to Halo 2.

the only thing that could compare is if you had a halo lan party (16 people, 4 xboxes), the most i have ever had was 7 people 2 xboxes... and it was awsome!!! :D

I had 8 people on 2 xbox's, and holy **** yeah!, that was so much fun, even people that hate halo(thos bastards) were lovin it!, when you have an 8 person free for all in a small lvl, its intense!

The best way in my opinion to get good for halo 2, would be to do single player on legendary enough, so your not bad, then do a HELL of alot of multiplayer with people, until you can beat like 4 people, (4 vs you) or something like that, and by beat, i mean like total victory, 50 -0!(like me!)

LAN parties are great! I can't wait until Halo 2 comes out though... 32 people in a single Multiplayer level. I hate the fact we have to deal with the Flood all over again in Halo 2...

I can't wait until September. Halo 2 will be out by then (supposeduly anyway; November will probably be more likely).

1. The forums merged with this one. This enables all of the XE sites to be on one.
2. Go click on profile on the homepage. And then go to Edit Options >> Change Avatar. There you can upload a avatar. ( limit 64 pixels x 64 pixels. )
