View Full Version : Top 5 reasons why i don't allow clan/guild threads

For all you angry clan/guild leaders that notice their clan/guild thread has been closed & deleted then here why.
1) They cause stupid conflicts with other clans/guilds trying to recruit
2) Look on how many clans/guilds that have just sprung up from nowhere. If we have Blah Blah Blah clan/guild recruiting it would over-run the important tflo topics.
3) The topics will get bump (spam) to the top of list to get notice.
4) Just plan annoying
5) Everyone here for tflo not your clan/guild

I agree with all of the above.

I dont know about you guys, but 95% of these clans will never exist or will die in a few days after TFLO comes out.
Bows before Jason then goes back to Editing The Darth Maul scene in Star Wars.

I agree, we should be talking about TFLO stuff here. I thought the guilds in TFLO are all going to be run by NPCs? If this is right - why is everyone talking about creating guilds?

I'm gonna have a clan, not a guild. A clan is just a group of friends playing and doesn't let too many people in the group unless your a friend. A guild lets anybody in no matter what. Everyone in my clan I know in real life though.

"i would no more words but i havent used my learn jap program in a few months and i havent watched any anime in almost a month!!"
You can't learn Japanese from watching anime or using programs.
If you learned Japanese from anime, when you talked to Japanese people they would laugh at you and throw rocks at your head. Seriously. Anime characters don't speak like real Japanese people do. They're cartoon characters.
Many people study Japanese in college for years, and then fully submerge themselves in Japanese culture (By moving to Japan), and still do not fully know the language. It takes a very long time, and sadly the common stereotype is that anime fans, or Nipponphiles (People who are obsessed with Japan), typically fail to do so.
You might be able to learn a few phrases, or memorize all the Japanese characters, or learn how to say konnichiwa right, but that's not the same as being able to speak Japanese.

Your School hosts Japanese?
Is it a High School or a Community College.
My English teacher always said, "People are to eager to learn other languages when they know nothing about their own."

Before you continue on your quest to learn Japanese I suggest you read this. (http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/%7Ethoureau/japanese.html)

How long would ittake a japanese student to learn his/her language?
Raith

NiXenith, that was a pretty good laugh.
However, if anyone happens to read it thoroughly, you'll notice at the end he points out that it is a joke. Which primarily means, most of his "points" are exaggerated. Don't let it discourage you. Continue on with learning the language, follow you dream, but don't follow it blindly. *chuckles*
