I talk to a lot of PR, and I have also seen many Microsoft employees talk about it, but with Sony entering the handheld market I am sure MS is as interested as ever.
According to my sources within MS the idea has been thrown around in R&D, but also according to that same source he wouldn't expect you to hear anything (if at all) about a MS handheld until 2006, and latest it would probably come out is 2008. Basically he puts it as until they can put Halo on a handheld you won't ever see it.

Handheld Halo would be nice. Especially if you could link up 4 or more of the handhelds to play multiplayer. :)

They tried that with the N-Gage and it was a fault. I tried out 2-3 of those things and none of them could detect a connection, even while they were 3-5 feet away.

That would be cool. But by like 2008 I might not even still be playing videogames.

How can you say that? I'm turning 29 in March, and I'm still gaming all the time. They'll have to pry my controller out of my cold, dead hands if they don't want to bury me with it.

I am sure my fiance hates it, but I am going to be playing games for a long time.
But I always say to her, its a better habbit than drinking, cheating, picking up girls, etc.

PR means public relations, also if my wife or whatever told me not to play videogames I would slap her ass and tell her to make me pancakes, and that is what you should do. It is the American way.

lol - should we call you Cartman now?
I love the fact that my wife is into games, too. She tends to go for really non-mainstream stuff, even more than me, but it makes my life a lot easier that she almost never says "stop playing those stupid games!" Mostly when she does I really have been playing too long and/or I'm getting way more frustrated than a game deserves.
