Lieberman Attacks Grand Theft Auto

Joesph Lieberman, hopeful democratic candidate for President of the United States and outspoken advocate against violence and sex in the entertainment industry, has called Grand Theft Auto: Vice City "horrendous" in a speech given at Dartmouth College. Said Lieberman, "The player is rewarded for attacking a woman, pushing her to the ground, kicking her repeatedly and then ultimately killing her, shooting her over and over again. I call on the entertainment companies -- they've got a right to do that, but they have a responsibility not to do it if we want to raise the next generation of our sons to treat women with respect." It seems that Mr. Lieberman forgets that the game is intended for adults who have social values already, not maladjusted children.

I for one..will definately not vote for him if he is the democratic canidate based on this. :)

While it is mature. Very few erm... mature adults play it. Its mostly kids. Its not up to the gaming companies to tone down the vilonce. Its up to the parents to limit the intake of vilonce on their kids. Parents should being looking after their ape**** kids not the gameing compainies.

Lieberman won't be the Democratic nominee, so I am not worried about it. I can't keep Bush in the office, I am voting against him this coming up term.

if somone assasinated Liebrman would they blame it on a games like Hitman or Hitman 2? Nah me thinks they'd go way out there and be like Final Doom did it. They have tons of political assasinations in that game.

I can't vote :'(, but, I really don't like ANY of the canadites, the only canadit i have liked in a long time was McKaine (sp?) he was the best! I wanted him to be president SOOOOO bad, but then he had to pull out because of cancer and the like (if i recall correctly), and then stupid old W won :mad:

is that a plan kenshin? i really hate when people blame games for people going insane. If they go and kill someone its on them its not like a game can brainwash people into mindless killers(kinda like blaming eminem)
