You can't compare halo to every other genre because your going against rpg and fps fans. Since i m a rpg fan, i think halo is way overrated because after finishing i thought it was just a regular game. Compare it to other fps that seriously sucks then it a great game.

well the thing you have to realize is that I still play halo multiplayer as much as i can, it is still BAR NONE, and when halo 2 comes out it will have some of the best graphics xbox will ever have to offer, a fantastic new story, new wepons, new vehicles, new enimies, and (this is just a prediction) the best multiplayer experience ever made. Don't get me wrong, I am wetting my pants in anticipation for TFLO, but when it comes to halo 2? I may have just defacated. They both will be stupendus, must have, games... but i think halo 2 will be better :mc:

In graphics halo2 might be better than all the games in xbox but for how long are u going to enjoy the game...i mean seriously enjoy it, and dont lie cos ur just trying to get a point through. RPGs get u seriously addicted, a gaming Drug and now its going to be the best ever with TFLO ...now u cant simply say bye bye to this damn drug cos its just going to be too good but ull probably get tired of Halo 2...i like FPS a lot too just as much as Rpgs but Rpgs last a hell of a lot longer

If Halo 2 is anything like |Half-Life it will be more addicting than any RPG. I bought Half-Life the week it came out and still play it today and is still the most played game on the internet including all its mods (counter-strike is the majority of it) and i found it alot more entertaining than Everquest which i couldn't stand playing for more than 30 seconds let alone 16 hours a day which for some reason my friend Alan was able to do.

Halo (Bungie) is Xbox's (Microsofts) Buddy... I remeber the first day I saw an xbox. I was in 8th grade, I was with one of my best friends... and we were at a huge mall in detroit. So we are walking in the halls and there it was in the glass on display (As in you could play halo. Note this also... When this console was on display you couldn't buy Xbox yet, so I dont know how the store got ahold of it.) The line was fairly long to try out the New Console with Halo. The game was amazeing... when it was me and my friends turn we put it on legendary like dumbasses then jumped in the warthog. We of course sucked because we weren't used to the controler (STUPID PS!) and partly because my friend is the worst driver on this planet.

Well my point I'm trying to get acrossed is Halo was the premiere game for XBOX. It's what turned people on to the new console. It had the best graphics that anyone had ever seen, and was one of the best FPS ever made. So of course after playing we were hooked and had to get an Xbox. Sure Xbox itself was awsome... it had hardrive and ethernet port for XBL, but people really didnt care at the time all they cared about was Halo. And when xbox came out that first year you cannot tell me they had alot of awsome games out it was a varied few.

Now Microsoft is hitting the console business with many great games this year, includeing the Game that started the Xbox craze Halo2. But now this time people have broadened their horizons to other companies/games they are beginning to show that they have what it takes to become like Bungie.

I could go on about this forever so I'm just going to stop here.

oyu are correct Lavis but if you look at what companies do is they get people to buy a product form thier products past history. Kinda like the Angel was a bitch pimping |Paintball gun but then they came out with all the other versions of the angels that were cheap ass pieces of **** and easily breakable and hard to keep up but still sold for thousands of $$ just because the original angel name sold so well and were known as excelent guns. This is what happens with games too wether Halo 2 is ****ing l33t like we know it iwll be or sucks ass like the Dark Angel LCD they will sell ****ing thousands of them once again causing a massive craze thats hwy so many people went to see the matrix reloaded even though it sucked ass. All the people that have played halo and enjoyed it will mostlikely buy this game even though the Halo concept is not new.

and if people don't have enough $$ to buy all the games they want this year alot of times they will buy Halo 2 because they want to be amazed like they were when they first got thier xbox.
