The History.

What do you think level5 means when they say "history".

Sure the game keeps going on and still goes on even when you quit playing. (the other people are playing you know not just you :D)

But what do you think will happen that will totally scar a country for the rest of its history?

Will a king get assassinate by a evil theif that gets caught in his castle?

Will Meteors rain from the sky destroying all that was pure?

Will the river by Don Perry flood and leave rumble in its path?

Will there be an alien take over of the country?

Will some evil beast never once seen before rise from his dark cavern released by some old man just trying to find some gold for food?

Will a ship get destroyed killing everybody on board?

Will a horse while running trip on a rock and throw its passanger into a tree killing him... well thats not histroy, but it might make the newspaper for the day :D

Will scientific knowledge of the country increase as time goes by?

EX. they find better methods to cut trees (like chainsaws lol)

Or will it stay the same as it always is...

Now this "history" stuff doesnt have to be all bad there can be some good stuff to like...

A ancient city once forgotten is found again furthering our knowledge of the past of tflo.

Gold is discovered in Don Perry's port causeing a massive immagration to the city.

A new transportation animal is discovered.

The aliens that came are friendly lmao

What are your thoughts/ideas?

hmmm my thoughts?

well, lets see.... a massive earthquake that destroys belcantus

or, a volcano erruption that wipes out a large area

or, cleria gets taken over by a group of immensly strong merccenarys

a monster that annihalates everything is unleashed by someone, and it whipes out 2 towns

theres too many ideas, its hurting my head!!!

so... ill just end it there

I don't think anything completely life altering could ever happen in tflo. New people will join everyday and will want to see all towns intact, all species still alive just like the way they saw the game on the net etc.

But why then would Level 5 even bother to state that there is a history

histroy: like legends and crap that could lead to future events im pretty sure

Yeah that's what I think also. Not the type of game altering history that you're talking about.

im gona go with that but also add that they could be talking about future expansion packs for it. like daoc and shrouded isles or trials of atlantis

well to elaborate i didnt have time to post a long paragraph there but:

history is going to mean like ancient documents that talk about strang places in the world of TFLO so basically you are able to find quests and stuff like that through these documents (only an ex.)

There are probably going to be some monsters that are realy strong, but they won't go out and ravage the towns. That would cause too much havock. And when you join whatever guild you choose they can give you quests, maybe on some of them you'll learn more about the history of the land.

In an MMORPG I play which uses servers like this will, I think they'll have a way where either they can update ti regularly, or just have set events happen over a certain period of time.
