Is their Role Playing

I just started reading this and I am really happy to see other people that want this game as much as me. I will be th first to admit I am a role playing geek every game I play I role play from ultima online to good old dnd. So I was just wondering is there going to be roleplaying servers or any at all or everyone just gonna goof off. I am getting the game no matter what and personally role playing no matter what but just wondering what fellow tflo people are thinking about doing.

personally I wanna be a raider or a pirate and that'd be what i roleplay for I just hope they have P vs P fighting so that me and my minions can raid cities and conquer MWHAHAHAHA

No chance. Microsoft and Level 5 aren't going to let you ruin all the cities and towns by raiding them, you might think it sounds like a great idea but what about the new guys that are trying to get to grips with the game? They don't want to start up and have the damn city over run by you lot. That sort of thing would ruin the game and it's world instantly and I'm glad for one that it won't happen.

yes i must agree about that so i guess i'll do what I always do just hunt treasure like all the other games (gotta stab a few people on the way though hehehehahahahaha)

If PvP exists then they'll have really strong NPC guards in cities to prevent invasion, of course they have hinted at the possibility of war...

Anyways I wanna be a good guy. It seems to me that most players want to kill and maim people, or just make items, so I'm gonna be in charge of defending the weak!
Basically I'm gonna play like a lawful good paladin. I have been contemplating being more of a robin hood, steal from the rich give to the poor, sort of character. I don't literally mean I'll steal, but I'll help those who need help, AND do whatever I want.

yeah I remembre the "really strong" NPC gaurds in MUD servers they never seemed to make them strong enough :D easy prey

They'll be no 'strong npc guards' they'll be no P vs P full stop in my opinion. Arena based fighting only, I'd almost bet my house on it.

Anyway, i think like on morrowind, being able to pratically steal anything would be great, but then of course have guards kick your ass.

I myself will roleplay once it comes out. Since TFLO reminds me alot like .hack. Mostly becaues of the voice chatting. ;)

I like Myukoi idea...can The Npc guards recognize prophanity or are they gonna be like thos british royal guards that just stand there and dont say anything? cos im going to go round arround them trying to piss them off

Anyways, I am a roleplayer myself. I play MUD (Massively Multiplayer Text Games) which require roleplaying and imagination and I would absolutely love to meet others in the EST timezone who roleplay as well. Hopefully, I plan to run the Ranger-esque adventurer, who'll almost be like a jack of all trades. It'll be really interesting and fun to form a small group of fellow EST timezone adventures and spend a lot of time with each other just adventuring, like the game is really meant to be played. ;)
