Keyboards or voice?

We know tflo will have the keyboard system but what do you think about all this typing when everyone should have voice? I have mix feelings b/c i don't want to see chatter coming on my screen and all this spam. Also i want to know what going on when playing. Then there is the fact that some people can't hear each other at times or you just don't want to talk. Oh well will see.....

PSO worked fine with typing AND talking. It was nice to talk when you want and it's even nicer to type dumb things just for good laughs. :)

Yeah I agree, keyboard and voice functions should work fine together.

lets say someone attacks you while your talking to npc the hassle is that you cant pick up your control as fast as you would a mouse in a pc game so it makes it harder to defend yourself.

Everyone is gonna have to watch out for this because it could mean major traps. In the video where the 4 people from level 5 were playing that i found to type he put down his control. If he were to be attacked right there im sure the other person would have had a major advantage over them.. Also most people go berserk when they get attacked they lose all control of ther hands and dont know what to do. This happeend to me a couple of times in my last mmorpg.

It all depends on the person but Im sure the keyboard will cause some problems in getting use to doing it...

yeah, most people will just talk, i see very little reason to type anything, but i am sure some people will, like if they have a really dumb voice:mc:

yeah just talking would be much easier althugh if a person gets too far away you cant hear them but, its betther than having to put down the controller and pick up a keyboard

Isn't the key board for broad and guild chat only - and the headset is for group chat. If this is the way it works it should be great. Nothing worse then not being able to type fast enough - ei , I need a Heal or Pull AGRO of me pls ! and then you die. Voice chat in group will help with problems like that - but with 10 characters in a group once you start pulling mobs, you will have to cut down on the friendly chat and get down to the job at hand - killing mobs for loot and lvl up your skills!

but stupid voice wont matter ; you can choose your voice set up in your charictor costomizations (im preaty sure) and if not i bet you can use the same fake voice you use for x-box live + NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR VOICE IN AN MMORPG JUST THT YOU CAN HELP THE GROUP OUT!!

Man no offence Instermentalist, but you have the work on your spelling. Everyone of your posts I've seen has a error or more in it.

And yes if your a girl/women... they get harassed alot on xbox live. I dont really understand it, but when some fag hears a girl he must get aroused and thinks unpleasent thoughts and feels he has to harass her to show he likes her...

Thats what I've heard from alot of women that use no mic and a keyboard instead, and i can understand it.

Also little kids get yelled at alot because their annoying and loud, but i dont think they care what people say they just keep rambleing on. Plus i dont know many 7 year olds that are really good at typeing anyway.

heh, well said Lavisblade....but even if you were a little kid, or a lady, you could just change your voice, im sure some guys are gonna change their voice to make it sound like a female, if they have a female character,(or if they're just sick)=P

yeah even then people will say somthing like take that retarded voice mask off... some of them are hard to hear or so loud i have to turn down my mic then i cant hear anyone else.
