Thus far there isn’t an official release date set for the US. It’s Q1 2004 for Japan, and most likely Q2 for the USA. Below are the links to the best English sites for learning about TFLO.
NMercy's site (http://www11.brinkster.com/nmercy/videogames/xbox/tflo/index.html)
True Fantasy Evolved (http://www.truefantasyevolved.com/)

Galaxies was never officially canceled for Xbox, only postponed. Rumors say Xbox might still get Galaxies, once they come out with the space expansion on PC.

Still there are like no jedi, that means no fun

Well that’s because Jedi are uber powerful, I’ve heard that in Beta testing it took 30 players to kill 1 Jedi.
So if you get a Jedi char you’ll be almost invincible, but there’s only a 1 in 1000 chance you’ll get one.
I think they should’ve used the d20 Star Wars rules for Galaxies, like KOTOR did.

Yes. Every character you make has a chance to become a Jedi randomly. 1 in 1000 chance.

I've heard that the game is supposed to come out sometime between feb. and march next year. Also, I've heard that the game is pretty much finished except for beta testing. Let's just hope it does come out etween feb. and march and that this latest rumor of october-december is just a lie.

Y I K E S ! ! ! ! - Aug./04 to Dec./04 - thats a LONG time to wait ! I thought I read some place that they where going to release TFLO at the same time for Japan and North America. OXM artical says JUNE/04? Would they put in a date like that if they where refering to Japan's release date in an American magazine? - Hope not - that would be stupid of them. Oh well, if its June/04 or Dec./04 ( ACK! ) its still going to be a long wait !

Gotta remember that print publications are generally 2 months behind other mediums... just because that's how their publication dates work...
As for release dates, I've hear spring 2004 for Japan and they want to push it to June 2004... hopefully it results in a dual release but I wouldn't hold my breath...

On Gamespot they posted a date for the US release on september 28 2004 :(. If it's true thats a long ass wait. It makes it even longer when you think about some lil japanese kid thats playing it months before it comes out here.
Why do they do that anyway? I dont get the market strategy.
I mean what gains could Level5 and Microsoft possibley get for releaseing the game at different times?

There not doing it to torture us but that how it works. The people who are developing the game (making the game) are Japanese. So the writing and text are written in Japanese. Now i m sure you don't want a game written in a language that you can't understand. So it is sent over here to get translated, tested a bit and then that’s it. Were also dealing with servers that is going to take in a lot of information at once so getting them tested and run are also going to take time.
