So, I haven't used my GamerTag since 2004.
I've been spending awhile, trying to migrate it over to my 360.
By awhile, I mean casually over the past year.
It turns out, I don't recall what credit card number was used back then, or how I went about registration. Armed with hunches, I've tried just about everything I could think of. I even called customer support! However, they cannot reactivate the account/do anything -- even though they can pull the account information up and I can prove I'm the owner. :(
The only possible hope left, is for me to go on a quest -- a journey, to seek out and retrieve my lost XBOX ... See, a few years ago I mainly let my friend borrow, and care for my XBOX ... We were both interested in pushing it to its limits, so we invested in a mod chip. I performed the necessary operation myself, and it was quite a success. Everything performed wonderfully.
It was exciting, but it would not last. Soon after, my friend was interested in modding his girlfriend's XBOX ... He would perform the deed himself ... All was well, until, he botched the job. He left it alone for weeks. His girlfriend's father eventually grew impatient, and demanded its return. Seeing as he fried his girlfriend's XBOX, he had no choice but to sacrifice mine, until he could find a replacement for her.
Sadly, that replacement would never come ... now, nearly three years later, I am in much dire need of that poor hunk 'o metal than ever before. I'm not even sure if my account information still remains on that old drive! However, it's my last lead. I will not give up, I will recover my GamerTag. Besides, there are still a few cards I have yet to play.
Anyone else go(ing) through similar struggles? If so, what are your stories?
