I keep reading every where about how its bad to leave a disc in the drive in the XBox, or just about any thing.
I always have a disc in my CD Player in my car, I usually have one (sometimes 2) in my PC, and if I keep playing the same game over and over, then I usually just leave it in my XBox, until I change games or know that I will not be using it for sometime.
I just wanted to know what everyone else did with their disc. Do you always take it out, do you leave it in, all the time, sometimes.

Bah, I don't see how it would effect the disc. I just leave it in.

Good point - if you leave a disc in when you're moving anything that plays cds or dvds, you can damage the lens by having it run into the cd/dvd.

O yeah I do that too. I leave it in when its sitting there but when I move it I take it out.....because with my old cd player I left like 3 discs in when I was moving it and the cds got lost in there lol.

Yeah, you're fine as long as you don't go shaking your xbox around with the Disc in it. You've got the possibility of scratching the disc and maybe the lens since the disc isn't being held in by anything.
I think I take it out like half the time and leave it in the other half.

I usually take out the disc and toss it in its case. I might rarely leave it in the system if the game I am playing is highly addictive and I play it multiple times a day.

No you cant simply because the laser isnt engaged when the power is off and it sits far enough below the tray that it would be impossible for it to make contact, unless the power went off while the xbox was loading the inner track and i mean power failure not shutting it off.
