Which mode of transportation would you want to use in tflo?

Everyone's gonna be on a dragon, so I think I'll ride a camel. It can hold 2 people to, so I could give rides to people without a mount.

I too would like to use a Dragon as my main mode of transportation but I feel that everyone is going to using them because they seem the coolest. I will only use a Dragon if it is a challege to capture one. I do not want to be like everyone else in TFLO so unless it takes some time for you to get one so not everyone has one then I will just be riding around on a broom or a horse. I hope that the Dragons are rare and hard to come by so not everyone has one.

I hear that the broom does not fly but instead it only hovers a small amount off of the ground. As long as it gets me places I'm still cool with it.

Hey if you've ever seen that movie MUMMY or RETURN OF THE MUMMY (not sure what one) but they race on camels vs horses lmao. They looked fast to me.

I bet it will go like this...

Camels same speed as horses.
Both carry items for you. (just a theory i heard :D)
Camels when holding 2 peeps go slower.
Dragons are the fastest but dont hold items.
Brooms are slower then dragons, but faster then horses and camels. They also dont carry items. (maybe they same speed as dragon who knows lol.)

Or maybe judgeing by how fat your character is judges how fast your animal goes lol

I think in the beginning I will do some walking, but as soon as I am possible I will go straight for another form of transportation. Camel would be cool and so would dragon, but like everyone said. I would like to be different and everyone is going to be riding a dragon.

what they meant by speed was that sooner or later your creature would get faster do to it progressing in skills so monsters that were attackign you and if you fled from them thouse monsters wont be able to keep up since you and your creature are faster than it

no it didnt mean other then camels, brooms, carriages, horses, dragons, and supposely a ship. You cant just go out tame a wild cow and go ride it around. Those are your transportations and not a Minotaur etc.

Also you dont have to tame animals... you are able to buy them from vendors. (atleast horses anyway). The animals you buy though arent as "good" as tamed wild animals, but they are a start.

but if with some crazy reason you could tame somthing the best thing to tame would be that gaint rooster since its feathers are worth alot of money :D

First, here's what I think the animals stats are going to be like:

Dragon- faster than camel, but not as fast as horse becasue it looks well-armoured for battles.

Horse- fastest, becasue they have mroe or less no armour.

Broom- if not horse then this is fastest, not used while fighting, just transportation.

Camel- faster than Dragon (with one person), not used for battle. You could make a taxi-sevice with a Camel, lol.

These are just my opinions on what I think the animals might be like. And you can buy animals from vendors, but if you capture and tame them, their stats will probably be better.

Brooms dont fly they hover close to the ground. As for putting it in your inventory it seems logical, but since warriors on animals cant put the animals in their back pocket I dont think you can. Well if you have a portable ride it would totally unbalance the transports.

Because it would be a programming miracle if LEVEL 5 managed to have free-flight.

No way they will have this.

And even if they did... Every review would have atleast a hint about the creation of a ceiling for free flight.

Dont count on it at anytime.

They may have it so when you get on a broom it rises alittle then it will stay a equal distance from the ground, makeing it look like you are flying, but really your just higher then usual.

I have no doubt that there will be bands of people who ride different animals for a cause. On one pick I saw 4 characters on dragon back. I have no doubt that some whole clans will want that ability and be like . . THE DRAGON RIDERS OF NEDIA!! -smiles- I just wonder how many badits we will have if characters can fight each other out side of arenas. afterall, they did say something about war.

And if you can fight character on character, many will be forced into the role of protector. The desire to hunt other characters will be too great for many of the powerful.

When you say "They" you know you mean the fans of TFLO and not the creators.

Having a War against the major cities I really dont see happening.

TFLO does not sound like a very war extensive game.

As for haveing PVP anywhere, doubt this to. Not only would it hurt TFLO because fairly strong characters will sit out and wait for a weak guy to kill, but also it would not make the game friendly for the whole community, which is what Level 5 is tring to achive. To have a game be fun for both Hardcore gamers to once a week gamers.

I think TFLO is going to be a challenge kind of game. To see if your able to become successful in the world and to see how your fortune compares to others. Also to put this a step further, when you try to complete a quest with a party of 2-10 you will be raceing against other parties to accomplish the goal first. This is just another expamle of how TFLO is more cooperative then PVP.

I mean i heard that cleria will be dispised by the other cities i heard, so i'm sure that somewhat tells of war. I doubt they have it on Beta, so we will just have to wait until it's out.

Sure maybe one or two of them 100 rumors are true, but why should I believe all rumors I hear? I only believe what I know is true not what I dream about or hear from other people like me.

If in the near future Level 5 or Microsoft says there will be wars in the game then and only then will I believe it.

So yes I'm doubtful, but not of the game. I already know the game will be awsome even if their isnt wars or free-flight or natural disasters. All of the info I know for sure, is enough for me to buy and enjoy this game.

Well it is thought that one Profession you can major in is Animal Care... you get your own stable, catch your own animals and sell them for a profit.
