Ok so basically it seemed like the ending should have been the beggining of a huge battle that ended the game. kinda dissapointing, but def leaves me wanting more (is that a good thing or bad). :csmash:
ending: 6/10
ending with epic battle something like they showed in the demo at e3: 10/10

Yeah umm...what demo at E3 do you speak of? Anyways the Halo 2 ending wasn't disappointing to me at all because I know there is more. I wasn't disappointed at the end of Empire Strikes Back, or Aliens because I knew there was more. There are a lot of great, great movies that end at the high note but I don't hear one person bitching about it.
Do you know how many theories I have about Halo 3 now? Do you know how many I had for Halo 2? Not one. I thank Bungie for leaving me with something to keep my imagination going.

all i am saying is that i wanted a REAL BATTLE like the one they showed in the demo of single player

or at least they could of kept the fist fight secene between the elite and the head brute. Damn i wish they didn't take that out.

The ending was sort of disappointing to me since the game felt too short, but I like how open ended they left it. I'm sure Live will keep me happy until the next release...

i am with john, i finished the game, put the controller down, and was just like "whoa, i can not wait untill Halo3." The ending of halo2 is the reason why i am going to stay up till midnight and wait in a line to get halo3. It is like the ending of any of the LOTR movies, only more "cliffhangerish." I thought it was awesome

yep, I was sort of disappointed at first, but then I thought, well its obvious we are going to get Halo3 now....Still like people said, a big fight/explosion would have been good :)

Im placing bets that:
1) master cheif dies in the process
2) earth is out of range of the "divine wind" that kills all sentient life
3) "the ark" will act much like the biblical ark
those are just some of my predictions...
hey i did get that you would play as the covenant in Halo 2.

i think the ark is earth...why eles would the covant go to earth.... i mean they lost at the halo in halo (1) and truthfuly im disapointed with bungie and the way they made the single player look so much better. But i think they turned it around with making it live. SO, my overall opionion about halo 2 was great but few disapointments. 10 out of 10. And Ive heard if you beat the game on all levels ( easy, normal, heroic, and legendary) it says something about halo 3... but i havent been able to prove it yet
