Well I've been playing each of the two for about 3-4 hours now, and I have to say Square's done quite a good job with the ports. Graphically it's quite similar to FF Origins on the PSX and the sound is A+... Random battles are way lower than they were in the originals and previous ports (all frickin 3 of them). Plus the grammar is improved a f*ckload.
Anyhoo, if you're interested in it definately pick it up when it comes out on the 22nd or whatever. I should have a proper review up soon.

Review should be up by friday. I'm not sure if I'll buy it straight away, might wait for it to go down a little with all the other games coming out at the same time.

I can't see it doing extremely well, however it shouldn't bomb either. It all depends on the new plotlines being enough of a drawcard and frankly they're not that great. Because if you take out that, it's more or less identical to the versions on Final Fantasy Origins.

I got really, really sick of FFX after I clocked it, I started FFX-2 and couldn't continue playing, I got to a point were I hated the game.

Well they're quite different from the newer versions of the game. X-2 sucks outright anyway.

can't say I have played much FF, but I'll give this one a go once I get my hands on it.
