Favorite PC Game?

I am a big fan of strategy games and RTS. So I love the Ages series and civ series. Plus I love a good FPS too, so Half Life will get that vote, especially with all the mods. :D

I'm starting to get into Battlefield 1942's mods.

Tough call - here are some I've really liked:
- Diablo II
- Half-Life
- Freedom Force
- all of the Monkey Island games
- Sam & Max, Grim Fandango... you get the picture. We're talking just about any adventure game LucasArts made, no matter how old.

anyone here play OPERATION FLASH POINT it's a badass lan game u can play online but it is soooo much more fun to play on iin lan partyies

Operation Flash Point is ok, but Counter-Strike is better.

i agree with you tempest but when u have like 20 people at a lan party doing co op missions together its really fun.(but theset back is that everyone has to be serious about completing a mission, the graphics are'nt is great, and the control is hard) but overall, if u r a hardcore gamer, it's a pretty good lan game.

i got Call of Duty and BF1942 for christmas CoD is better you can actually hit somone with the sniper rifle at long range

If anyone wants Deus Ex, but doesn't have it (the original, that is), Computer Gaming World's disk this month has the complete game for "free" (just buy the magazine). It also has Warlords: Battlecry, Thief II, Dark Age of Camelot, and America's Army v 1.9.

There are some demos, as usual, and a Doom 3 trailer, but I bought the rag for the five free games. I figure even if I only like one of them, it's a pretty decent deal, since it cost me less than $10.

No one has mentioned another favorite of mine...X-COM. A total classic.

No prob - the bad news is that I went to the store yesterday and saw that the issue I'm talking about is not on newsstands any more. Hmmm - X-COM - I forgot about it, but I have that game. PC Gamer had an issue a while back where their disk had at least a dozen "classic" games, and that's on it. I bought the disk for one of the old Monkey Island games - those are all awesome.

Age of Mythology RULES OVER ALL MORTAL LIFE Seriously, it is one of the best games I have ever played, on any system. If you haven't played it, and like either a. RTS or b. Mythology (it has Greek, Norse, and Egyptain!) go pick it up, you will love it.

I liked Rise of Nations better than Age Of Mythology but Age Of Mythology was a really good game.

I just started playing Dungeon Siege. I'm not ready to call it one of my favorites, but it's a lot of fun, and I got both the game and the expansion pack for $20.

Oh yeah, I love AoM. Expansion makes it even better. Titans rock!!!

RoN is also sweet. I always lpay Rusian. They have the best defense in my opinion.

War Craft series is always good. I still need to get The Frozen Throne expansion.

Last month I got the new expansion for C&C Generals. Not bad. Plently of new units.

This weekend I got a couple expansions......Civ III - Conquests, RoN - Thrones & Patriots, and WC3 - Froozen Throne (finally)

Another pc game that ruled was Jumpstart 2nd grade. It was educational, but it was still fun, and I have no idea why.
