Capcom today announced that Resident Evil 4 will be released onto the GameCube and PlayStation 2, ending the presumed GameCube exclusivity that the game has held since its first unveiling in 2001.

Capcom states the reason being that they have 'listened' to the voices of gamers all over the world (or in other words those of PS2 fan boys) and come to the conclusion that they needed to publish the RE4 on the PS2 in addition to the GameCube to expand the series fanbase. The final decision was made after talking with shareholders and investors. Also they have quoted the expectation of increased overall revenue as a result of the move.

The only good news to come out of this is that the PS2 version will not be a mere port, but will be altered to best fit the PS2's limitations.

The GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 is still set for the following release dates; Japan - January 27, USA - January 11, Europe - Spring 2005. The PlayStation 2 version however has much more vague release dates, with all three of the aforementioned territories falling under the, 'End of 2005' category.

Well I'm sure you'll have noticed all the other grammar and spelling mistakes in the release (i.e. Playstaion 2) so I think its just a mistake on the translators part.
