Just going to keep a live thread on all the reviews on Halo 2 out so far. Also I will gather scores of the 'competition'.

Games Eliminated from the 'competition':
Killzone: Receiving mediocre ratings so this is a definate average game.

When more reviews come up, I will post them. Also I will add more games that could be considered as competition. Once a game receives too many low reviews, I will take them off the list for competition for game of the year and best shooter of the year.

well about he EGM scores, they may possibly be fake... but this is from sources from other forums that gave them to me with the EGM scores.

all right updated more scores for Half-Life 2... I will be taking down Killzone as competition and label it as "Eliminated" because it simply can't live up to the hype and isn't getting game of the year scores. I will await for more reviews on Killzone until I do that. If anyone wants to add to the Halo 2 Competition list, feel free to let me know.

I'm glad to see that Halo 2 has gotten a 10/10 from Game Informer! Personally, I feel that many other games deserve a 10/10, like Rallisport Challenge 2 and SSX3 just to name two. Oh, and ESPN 2K5 should too...at least GameSpot gave ESPN 2K5 a 10 in graphics. :D

Haha, 9.4 from Gamespot. Supposedly the sory is "dissapointing" which sucks, cause that's the main draw for me, and multi of coruse!

I'd have to agree with all those scores for Halo 2.

The story wasn't disappointing at all :D I dunno what Gamespot was talking about.

halo2 is going to own me for years, 9.4 is pretty low compared to everyone else, you have to throw out the extreams, and the famitsu one doesnt count either because it is for halo2 in japan, not america, so with that in mind Halo2 has gotten an average of 98.8% or 99% percent rounded, if you throw in the 9.4 you still get a 98% (even), so over all, amazing

The scores have been updated a little. I will continue to update them over the course of the next month until it's decided which game tops Goty awards all around. Oh yeah and Killzone has officially been eliminated, *shucks* lol
