Xbox Evolved Under New Ownership

Xbox Evolved is now owned by a company known as E-mpire they also own sites such as Nintendo Now http://www.nintendonow.com. You may notice a new forums member named Omega, he is the new owner of the site.

Xbox Evolved will remain mostly unchanged forums, content, and editorial wise so no need to worry about the fate of Xbox Evolved right now. A lot of you though may be saying though “John your such a fucking sellout!” Listen man, my whole idea was to sellout from day one. I got into this wondering “When can I sell out I need fat cash?!”

Well today was that day, and my friends I am now swimming in a baby pool filled to the top with green paper water. I will not be gone though oh no, I will still be the same dedicated person I was when I founded Xbox Evolved in 2002 so stick around!

Or of course both. You will not have to re-register, and you will be able to keep all your post counts. That's what we are trying to do at the moment, but nothing is official yet.

It was originally bought by Brandon...So, Fusion2k was the parker of the domain...But...here's the thing...when John tried to TRANSFER the domain to another site parker...He couldn't, so the owner of the parker - Fusion2k wouldn't give the domain rights to him....(Its a complicated situation, IMO, I can't remember most of this stuff). But I do know that the guy who parked the domain...didn't pay him back, nor did he do him any good when it comes to a compromise. No transfer, no refund, nothing.

John got into a HUGE fight with the guy online, on the phone, and even threatened the guy that he'll kick his ass....because Bill happened to know where he lives. Close to his home.

Hey guys, for those of you who are still a bit worried, maybe this will help a little.

When the ownership took place, I had questions too, but I decided to be open about it and see what happens. I have talked to Omega a few times and a couple of people from his team that have worked with him. They are all level headed professionals and have mad talent. Their ideas are really awesome, and feasible. I am actually more and more excited about it the more I learn and discuss it with Omega.

Our site and community are really going to increase, and with it the activity will too. Plus we have a lot of familiar faces (myself included) working with the new leadership. So nothing is really going away, we are just adding more to what we already have to make the place even better.

I don't know. The members is one thing, althought I can't say much because I havent been there too often. I don't really like forums when they get too big. Like XE is just the right size. You get to know the members and its easy to keep clean.

Small forums often have regulars, loyal, and high quality members.

Big forums is a popularity contest. As I said earlier, its kinda like hollywood.

The veterans stand out more so than others, it is newbies, and spammers who get their asses wiped. A merge between forums takes time for veterans to stand out with each other, and earn respect, and get to know each other.

But if you're like me, who is very well known at multiple forums, there's no problems.
