As a New Zealander I have to say that Australia is a shithole, its a compulsorary opinion :) But right after they ban Manhunt Aussie decides that Leisure Suit Larry is too bad for the following reason and they ban it as such;
"…obscured and/or implied sexual activity and obscured and partial nudity involving stylised, animated characters…"
You don't say :toomuch: I never would've guessed it myself. People go on about Australia being the liberal nation, but the fact of the matter is that couldn't be further from the truth nowadays, this is just another piece of evidence. I mean can't they handle some sex jokes or something? My god, it might give some old lady who doesn't even play games a shock when she sees a poster for it!
If you want Liberal come to us, not the wannnabe USA that can't handle a cock joke.

XD Well, Aussie aint that bad. Besides their accent, and their sport teams, they're a pretty good country. I mean, they treat their residents good, much better than the NZ government supports us, and you know, video games are cheaper there. And America aint that bad, I've been there 6 times so I sorta like it :p and stuff is SO CHEAPER. And we also banned manhunt, too @_@

Any country who votes John Howard back in is messed up. Especially when the other guy, Latham (sp?) actually seemed rather good.
We may have banned Manhunt yes, but that was the first game ever to be banned I believe, Australia's banned heaps. I mean they banned the last Duke Nukem game because of the strippers.

Well, I'm personally not into video games being related to that sort of thing... I mean.... its because of booth babies I have to be 18 to get into E3! :p

Nah not really, it's mostly due to a whole bunch of legal issues from recolection. Mostly because a lot of the games are, 'yet to be classified' and developers can be liable for a whole bunch of stuff. But I've yet to really look into that, anyway its not like i'll be going for some time :(
