Hmmm, this section needs a little disscussion......

So how much do you think the next XBox console will cost? Will MS drop the price of the unit to compete/undercut again? How much will the unit cost to make? How much are you willing to pay for it?

I'm guessing they'll try to come out somewhat below the PS3. They can say "well, without the hard drive, the unit is cheaper to make than the original was." $250, maybe?

yeah $299 is what Im guessing also. If MS wants to be crazy it could be $200, but $299 seems like the best price guess.

$300 is a good amount of change to pay for a gaming system. Anything over that, better be amazing.

$300 is my max on launch day for the system. Cause yah gotta add games, memory card (if no HD) and an extra controller.

MS has stated they wish to be more price conscious this time and are doing a lot to cut down manufacturing cost. I wouldn't doubt a $249.99 launch price.

Nintendo made money on GC, though took a hit temporarily on a price cut, as well as all other consoles. They are the only one that strives to make profit on hardware.
