Is anyone playing any other MMORPG to take up time till TFLO comes out? If so what are yoy playing and how is it ?
( I played Dark Age of Camelot - a PC MMORPG, for about a year. My PC died and my new one isn't really powerful enough to play PC games. 2.5 Celeron - 384 DDR ram - 64 Intel Extreme Graphics. ) I have a couple friends who play Everquest on the PS2, but I have to say its the ugliest mess I have ever seen!

well it is OTHER MMORPG's..not TFLO...just a thought(no saracasm intended)
lol I think it's fine silent. My brother plays Dark Ages of Camelot =c) I tried it and it was pretty fun, just very slow paced. Can't wait for tflo though, I need to try and find an mmorpg to play. I was thinking about trying final fantasy, my brother gave me the game cuz he didn't like it but I dunno.

TFLO, will rock...but untill then(when i get my new computer) i'll have to get World of Warcraft or Linage 2..havent made up my mind

The chief difference between TFLO, and FFXI, is that FFXI sucks, and TFLO hopefully won't.

Favorite ff game ff 2 or was it 4, and 7
Decent ff game ff 10- i like the kingdoms stuff and the cartoonie side was fun
Worst ff games- 10-12

NiXenith...Awwww...are mad b/c you dun have ffxi.....if u play it ffxi u will find the 2 games considering by experience and reading the games get more and more similar game play wise..so quit your biased remarks and spread some LOVE dammit:)

FFXI is just an EQ ripoff, with Chocobos and nicer graphics. It brings nothing new to the genre. It's old,(It's been out a year already in Japan) and outdated. As soon as EQ2 comes out it'll make FFXI look like a joke.
You're the one that's biased and blinded by your FF fandom. If FFXI didn't have Final Fantasy tacked on, no one in their right mind would play it, and every reviewer would've given it a 7/10, for being a mind numbingly average and mediocre game.
Really do you truly think you would've picked up the game, if it had all the same features, minus being an FF game?

I am not biased you are. You're obviously a blind FF fan, anything FF related you're going to side with. They could get a pile of crap, put it in a package that says "Official Final Fantasy Chocobo Crap", and you would buy it, and love it. It's ok to be a fan, and it's even ok to be a rabid fan sometimes, but FF doesn't need rabid fans.
I am not biased against FF or RPGs.
I like FFVI, and FFVIII. Squall is my favorite character of all time, Gunblades are the coolest things in existence, and my first email address ever was TonberryKing@??.Com (It's a dead account now.)
FFVII was to linear for me, but some of the characters were very bad ass, like Sephiroth, Cloud, and Vincent.
I liked FFV a little, because of the job system, even though it was way linear.
I only played FFIX for like an hour, and then someone stole it from me, so I can't rate it.
FFX's story was good, but gameplay was mind numbingly simple, some of the love story aspect seemed forced.
I hated the original FF Tactics, but I can see what people would like about this game, it annoyed me though.
I haven't played Tactics advanced yet.
I'm also a fan of the Chocobo Dungeon and Kingdom Hearts series.
I can already tell that FF Crystal Chronicles is gonna suck.
Dunno about FFXII. It's probably gonna try and copy FFX
FFX-2 looks to stupid, even to rent.

Right now iam playen RB6 i used to play pso. Then i got sick of the same old thing over and over. So i cancled my account.

I would, because u still have the chance factor of missing a physical attack. You also can only unfortunately can have up to four people in the group.

PSO is not a MMORPG, it's an MORPG. There's nothing massive about it. Sega shouldn't even charge for it, Microsoft's servers could easily handle it, the only reason they do is so DC and GC players won't feel ripped off.

I agree speaking of the GC though did they ever get online play? i know they were gonna have a 56k modem for it but i never heard if it came out or if it were axed

Yea PSO is online on GC, the sequel (PSO Ep III) is on GC to. Those are the only online games for GC though.

anyone ever played Dark age of camelot? a lot of my friends played it, but quit playing after like 2 months
lol....read the first couple posts. Yeah I have played it, and like I said before it's slow paced which is probably why your friends quit. You like it? =c)

most ff games are decent to great and evolutionize rpg gaming. Also my roots are with ff and if it wasn't for ff i wouldn't be an rpg fan and this forum wouldn't exist.

They were in the gamespot and xbox forums. Were starting to get annoying.

Wow, MMORPGs. Lets see here, which have I played over the years:
Star Wars Galaxies - I recently played this game but canceled my account because my old computer couldn't handle certain areas of the game to well (cities chugged like a mofo). I had a blast during the time I played the game, and I may very well return to it in the near future once they some of the missing features originally expected.
Everquest w/expansions - Pretty good game, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. Its pretty much just like every other MMORPG out there. The thing looks horrible these days, but thankfully some of the newer environments added by the expansions look OK. You just might not get to see them until you get well-off into the game.
Dark Age of Camelot - OK game, although, just like everyone else has stated, its a bit on the slow paced side. Only reason I played this was because a couple friends had it and we played together.
Anarchy Online w/expansions - One of my favorite MMORPGs, although I no longer player. This is one of the few games along with Star Wars Galaxies that I actually could see myself paying a monthly fee for.
Asherons Call 2 - I was in the beta, beautiful graphics, average gameplay. From what I hear the game is still having trouble getting enough players. You might have trouble finding groups to play with at times but otherwise overall it was decent.
Neocron - I hated this game. Terrible, terrible. Lets just say you should never bother even trying this game when there are much better MMORPGs out there (i.e. Galaxies, AO, EQ)

I remember the one on the gamespot forum always saying that tflo is just a big rip off. If i see a ff fanboy in here like the one there was in gamespot then the boot yeah get. :-) Grateful that these forums are moderated by me and nmercy. I m not against with anyone posting there ff opinions but constantly saying negitive things about it when this is a true fantasy live online board is stupid. Also all off topics post on other games in a different consoles belongs in the proper thread. This i have no problem with since its an good topic.

...and I'll just sit here doing nothing till then. Actually I have SWG, I've had a subcription since December 25th, but I can't find myself to really get into it, 1. Not enough players (they're too spread out across the servers) and 2. The graphics suffer too much (all low) and still get low FPS. (It really takes the feel out of the game when it lags often, especially on all low.)

An old PSO friend of mine has Fairyland, the game looks simply adorable from what I've seen. I might give it a try.
We used to play Deloria but I think it shut down.

Fairyland was okay but got boring fast, I had to replace half the music because the existing one was just.. dumb, and the same sounds for the attacks got annoying.. Plus most classes weren't as defined as they could've been.
