I suggest this, because some people have experienced some slowdown problems...Who? Myself, and These People (http://www.nintendonow.com/forums/showthread.php?p=513183#post513183)
I know that the forums are on the SAME server as the site is in.....but I suggest a dedicated server for the forums. And if you can, upgrade the processor/speed of page loads, because it took a minute or two to load for some people.
I'm just giving a heads up, and a suggestion. :thumb2:

that means more money and it means that both site will need to have some changes made in the php, which is time and money, but yes, it could be something worth looking into.
And btw, NE has its own server. John is running XE and EF, while my server is running only NE.

I have to agree. The site has been especially slow since the forums were combined, and despite visiting everyday and having the pictures cached, it can still take minutes to load with my cable connection. More than once have I given up and left the site due to my impatience with it in the last week or two. With an increase in readers and members comes a need for more bandwidth.

Without cache, it does take quiet a while to load but with cache then it takes like 0.1 - 0.9 secs

I have to say that it takes hardly any time for me to load the site and I'm on a dial-up connection....I'll run the idea pass John next time I see him online.

For me it takes about 15 seconds, in my cache. I got dail up, and I'm in New Zealand (Home of the gayest internet of the Western World)

It seems to be fast right now. This morning it was crawling, and I'm on a broadband connection.

After that I've come to the conclusion that NintendoNow are all cocks, though its not like thats a new thought.
The forums are a little slow, but meh, they seem to be better than they used to be.

It's always been pretty fast for me (considering I'm on a dial-up connection). Maybe its just affecting people in the USA or something as Daniel, Luke and myself are all from NZ and we are all on dial-up...

uhmm ... am I the only one then that still has very fast loading pages, etc.?
Also there seems to be many ****tards on nintendonow. They complain about xe taking a long time to load, yet when I go through their forum it takes longer for me to load a page there than it does here.

well this page just loaded in a couple of seconds for me, which is good. It's quite weird how for some people the pages load in seconds and for others it takes ages...

Going to NintendoNow and the FASTEST page load I had was 10 seconds. Sometimes it takes like ~20 seconds. I don't know what they are talking about. Their server sucks a ton.
It wasn't even busy when I went there, either...

I have no loading problems with this site what so ever.
For me it loads before I can even click a link. I'm on high speed cable though. I dont get any lag from peak hours either.
There was a problem the other day with a picture not loading on the hompage, but that was fixed I'm guessing since now I can see it.
It looks like something for them to bitch and moan about.
