With Sony buying MGM it' quite likely that some time in the future they'll move to making Bond games only on their consoles. But my question to you is would you actually care? I mean there hasn't been a really good Bond game since GoldenEye 64.

Well that goes without saying

GoldenEye Rogue Agent is safe from the deal, it's something like 2006 that the merger is complete I believe.

They may have the rights to publish them but since MGM owns the IP it's them who decides where games go that're based on the Bond movies. I'm pretty sure that as a result of that they can pretty much influence EA however they want. As well as that EA's contract will run out sometime.

EA has the rights to do whatever they want to do because they have the rights. The contract was made before this mess. All Sony can do is go "If you want the contract extended then you better start making they for PS2 only". I doubt that would happen through because my guess is EA would give Sony more money than if Sony made the Bond game for themselves.

Well yes, it all depends on how valuable Sony sees the franchise as, but despite its crappyness it does have quite a bit of pulling power. A power that should extend if Rogue Agent does well.
