Anybody here buy Pikmin 2, or the original for that matter, I never seemed to see the 'greatness' in the first. Is the second any better?

Funny thing is, I haven't played it yet. I want to hire it out, but none of the videoshops around me have it. They don't even have GameCube games >_<

Lol yeah. I've heard something similar. But unfortunately due to virtually no videostores having GCN games here I can't hire it out and give it a try. Oh well.

I have both, love em both too. Pikmin 2 is a ton better than the first, there's a lot more to do, the new pikmin add a lot to the puzzles and the underground caves can take up to an hour to complete.

I might go into town and see if I can hire out one of them or buy a second hand version. It's hell annoying, there's one videoshop in the whole of a city of 400 000 people that has GCN games for hire. And its so far out of the way, about 30 minutes walk from the center of town :(

Even if you didn't play the first you can still get the second and not miss out on much. It does a good job of briefly retelling what happened in the first game, as well as tell you how to play the game.

Pikmin 2 is absolutely marvelous. I haven't had so much fun on a video game in a long time. Every little niche in the game is polished, it showed me that Nintendo hasn't lost their touch and can still provide games well worth 50bucks. I give it two :thumb2: up!
