Fable Roll Call

Ok, Fable finally hits the shelves on Sept 14. I know a lot of people have it preordered or are going to pick it up the day of release.

This is the official Fable countdown thread. And once its released, discuss its greatness or its failure here.

I dont have the preorder yet, but I might use my gift certificate on it to grab my copy. A must buy for sure.

Both, i'm taking a chemsty course at Hollend College as i didn't take one in High School. I need that chemistry course for the science courses i'm taking at UPEI.

When you go to a university you are going to be graduating from one of their colleges, such as the business college, or in my case, the college of engineering.

Some universities also have schools, which are the same as a college, only smaller, in number of attendees, graduates, degrees offered, etc.

But i might have to pick my games carefully, as i don't have a job at the moment, and my university books are eating my money up like a fat-pmsing-woman-on-a-cruise-ship-at-a-buffet. I might have to be really choosey about the games i want. There is already a pile of games i want right now, such as SP3, now fable, then Halo 2 and mech assult 2, then Conkers, not to mention the ones already out. I also have to put money away for next year.... arggghhhhhhhhhh UNIVERSITY!!!!

Well, I helped some servants make an apple pie for the guildmaster, and then they gave me a blue berry one. I have only ate some apple pies and blue berry pies. Oh, and drunk some beer. That has been my only consumption. Pies and beer.

I've been completely good but im mad because I keep getting scared up and having to restart my quest. Oh and DON"T save during a quest and expect to come back to it later, thats what sucks about this game. I was 95% done and I had to go do my homework so I saved it and then came back and it I had to redo it all.

I like the game no doubt it definately seemed way to linear at the start, and then you get taken to the guild and you seem to crop out more so I hope the game starts to become more broad as my experience increases.

What kind of builds are you guys doing anyway? I was thinking of doing a Magic / Bow user. I'd use multi shot and either force push or that nova fire thing (forgot name) at closer quarters because bow blows when the guys are 2 feet infront of you.

PS Where is a barber shop I want to cut my hair.

There is a barber shop in the first town you come to after going on your own from the guild. Go to the old man by the decks, he will help you with your hair/beard styles.

I have played for six or so hours and i can't get enough, I just got past the arena and (SPOILER) i beat the crap out of Whisper (...again, the first time was at the farm, with no close and just my fists =D), i love how they tangle it in hour you have hero in your bloodline and stuff, it really makes you feel important (END SPOILER) Truely brilliant =)

Nice. I played about another hour yesterday. Just helped some travelers cross the swamp area....

I am not sure what kinda guy I am making. He has +3 on all strength points, +2 all skill (except speed is +3), and knows 3 will spells (all +1) Lighting and two types of fireballs (forgot their names).

I was quite happy with the game, extremely immersive, already beat it once in about 10 hours and I'm going through it again to collect all the items and open all the demon doors and collect all the silver keys, only complaint is it's quite short, but it has a lot of replay value.

I'm going for a melee char. I've upgraded Berzerk to level 4 so far, that and Force Push are the main use of my Will powers.

I am playing as a bow magic guy aswell, i use slow time and multi shot alot so i can still use my bow in close quarters. But when ever i do use my melee weapon (master pick-axe) the "Assasian's Rush" spell is priceless =)

Yeah, i have a friend who got it and was disappointed at the extreme shortness of the game. I figured a game like Fable would be long as hell with near infinite amount of things to do.

Hell, KOTOR takes 30hrs+ to get through the game, ingoreing everything else.

Is Fable even worth getting? I have a craving to buy another game. Maybe Splinter Cell 2 or Otigin or what ever that demon slashing game is called.

I haven't gotten a new game for awhile now as i've been waiting for the games John sent me...

possibly 10 of straight playing to get through main quest, but u have many many miss. quests

There are a bunch of side quests. I kept getting more quests when I was doing the final part where you can't do side quests anymore it was like....you have a new quest card, but then I couldn't go get it. Irritating, I'll have to start over to do all the side stuff for my second time through. Guess my evil character will take longer....but I suck at being evil so we'll see how that goes. I never want to kill my friends which seems to be a requirement of being evil at one point or another.

The game is VERY good. Yes and well lots of games are. The game is VERY short. And thats where it lacks. I wouldnt rate this game very high. I set my expectations to high and they gave out false beliefs. Let me be the first to say. This game isn't worth it. Just rent it and follow this regiment.
Day 1: Beat it on good mode
Day 2: beat it on evil mode
Day 3: Beat it on w/e the hell you want
Day 4: Go on the internet and cheat your way through the whole game
Day 5: Return it. You have now completed everything there is to do.
