Sorry for such a late topic but I am planning on getting an Xbox mainly because of DX: Invisible War (my PC cant handle it).

I've played DOA 2 for DC but need more thoughs from other people...

SC 2 or DOA 3? Benefits and Disadvatages?

Thanks

Well they are both very good games. You can get Soul Calibur for $39.99 and and DOA3 for $19.99 so I think you should get them both. :)

Lets put it this way...I own a GCN with SC 2 and want to get an Xbox but dont want to get SC 2 and DOA 3 as well on Xbox but have a decision to keep SC 2 for GC or sell it... Then what decision to I make?

P.S. BluehempXE, remember me from Tendonet?;)...Im here for a reason...

If you already have SCII for Gamecube you mind as well get DOA3 for Xbox then. Unless you want to play Spawn, you'd want to get the Xbox version then. :)

Yes I remember you. Whats the reason? lol ...

But which would be better? Put it this way I will sell my GCN and SC 2 but want a fighter and am low on cash when buying Xbox. It would leave DOA 3 and SC 2 as the current best fighters and a hard decision as well...

Kool. lol. Reason...Tendonet ain't doing good and most of my friends have left and I have no purpose there especially if your news doesnt get recognized a lot by people...

I'd go for DOA3 then. Thats my personal opinion. Thats basically the only fighting game I play out of all the fighting games.

Does DOA 3 have enough replayablity as SC 2's VS Mode does? My little brother played the game today and loved it or did he love the game because of the ladies...? Although it was only for 15 mins. How is the Co-Op mode in DOA 3 or tag Tea mode?

Well a new DOA game is due out soon. Two actually, DOA Online and DOA: Code Cronus.
So getting the old one is kinda a waste… And since you already own SC2 for GC, I would just save my money and wait for the new ones. DOA Online comes out on the 15th of January. DOA: CC comes out sometime in 2004.

Also to reply to your last post… DOA multiplayer is ok, it doesn’t have the replay value of SC2 though. Basically there are a couple costumes, characters, and movies to unlock and that’s it. Nothing new or special. Game play revolves around proper timing and countering, if you want to become a master.
Your brother most definitely enjoyed it because of the girls. (IMO Christie is the hottest, Kasumi is a close second.)

I personally prefer SC2 though.

If your wanting replay SC2 is your choice, DOA3 is easier to get into I think, but DOA Online is probably what your wanting to get if you do plan on getting Xbox Live.

I wont be getting Xbox LIVE unless I get a job to pay off cable internet fees. I've decided if my friend sells me his xbox for 140 or less I will get DOA 3 otherwise I wont bother selling my GCN or getting SC 2.

Thanks for the help guys!

The GCN version of SC2 is the best version because it has the best special guest character of all three, soo keep your GCN and SC2, DOA3 isnt as great as SC2, but its still a great game thats worth your money.

Metroid Hunter you're wrong. Link is the weakest of the 3 secret characters. Spawn, and Heihachi bring the pain. Not to mention the fact that Link looks like a little girl compared to Heihachi and Spawn. Plus the PS2, and Xbox controllers are better for fighters.

PS2 SC2 would be my favorite version, but it takes so long to load, which really annoys me, so Xbox is my favorite version by default.
