I finally bought an LCD monitor to make going to LAN parties a lot easier. I ended up going with the NEC Multisync LCD1765.

I have a 19" inch CRT just incase its ever needed. I just bought the LCD because hauling around a 19" inch CRT isnt very easy.

Haha, I wish I had a flat panel monitor for easy portability. I have Viewsonic 19" flat screen, and it's gigantic.

Mmm flat LCD screens are soooo much better. We bought a 19" lcd with our new computer and you don't really realise how crappy CRT's are in comparison til you use won.
No more CRT for us *hugs monitor*

Actually, most CRTs are better than LCDs, especially when you get into monitors over 17" inches in size. Cheaper LCDs tend to have trailing and ghosting problems in DVDs and video games, so you need to choose wisely when making a purchasing decision. Thats the reason I went with my LCD, it has a very minimal amount of ghosting in games, so it'll do.
That's cool. I thought about getting one myself, but then chose to stick with the old one for the time being.

Bah, well I don't know what my screen is in terms of stats, all I know is it has a wee dell logo on it and that its a hell of a lot better than my old crt.

One slight tip; Don't buy LCD monitors online. If you read Neweggs site, you will see their policy reads:
Dead Pixels Policy: Replacement or Refund for 8 or more DEAD PIXELS ONLY!
Last thing you wanna do is order a new monitor and end up with dead pixels. Go to like Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, or Staples and pick up whichever you like.

CompUSA would be best, they have the greatest selection and their prices are around Best Buy's range.

Looks good Zzero.
I personally like my CRT compared to the LCDs still. I can get a better resolution, and the way my desk is designed, I really wont be saving any space with the LCD.

Can't decide between a 21 inch CRT or a 19" LCD, both the same price.

For the same price, I would personally bigger screen size and better resolution.

cool! I have a 19 inch CRT, but im getting payed $500 to render my dad's patio home plans into a 3D scale and I want to get an LCD. Whats a good Gaming LCD, you know the kind that don't blur when you go fast in a game.

I would recommend my LCD if you are going to use it for gaming. There is minimal ghosting/blurring.
Wouldn't recommend anything bigger than 17" inches for an LCD because, for the most part, none are good for gaming.

So you recommend the CRT then? Gotcha.
