I just got Voodoo Vince, and I'm really liking it so far. I haven't played the latest and greatest platformers - does anyone have a feeling for how it compares to them? I've played through several levels so far, and they haven't gotten boring or repetitive. I know that's a common complaint - that the combat gets repetitive quickly. Has anyone else played this game?

I played the demo and was pretty impressed. The demo alone proved to be more fun and better designed than Blinx.

I definitely agree, John - even the demo proves that Vince is better than Blinx. I'm glad that playing it hasn't changed my opinion.

Personally, i think voodoo vince is very illogical
i mean, its a great idea, but how come YOU can hurt yourself to hurt bad guys, but when the BAD GUYS hit you, YOU get hurt?

because he uses his magical power when doing voodoo but not using it when he get hit. Its a very funny game, picking a doll to be a hero lol

They explain it by saying that only voodoo magic (like the stuff that created the bad guys) can hurt you, so supposedly, Vince's magic attacks summon up some real thing (not magic) and the real thing is what messes him up, not the magic. That way, he's not permanently hurt.

from all the games i've played when the bad guys hit me i lose hp, life points, or i die. how is THAT different from any game. but i would like to point out that this game is not very fun for the old people (meaning people over the age of 20 for the most part, not everyone)

Why do you say that? I'm 28 and really liked it...
