Well i have had problems with my pc since day one. BSOD, freezes etc...Downloading window updates only makes it worst. My specs are
Windows XP Professional (does not include SPA1)
Amd Athlon XP 2800 2.08 ghz
ASUS "A7V8X-X" KT400 Chipset Motherboard
28 gb Seagate hd
512mb kingmax ram
ATI Radeon 9600SE 128mb 325mhz/400mhz
CD/DVD combo
Floppy drive
AOpen 235 watt power supply
I disable my Secondary video adapter and seems to work well for now.
Do you think the power supply is a factor because i m quite tired of seeing blue screen after blue screen. Also my final fantasy XI online disk number ONE is unreadable so im quite screw for cash. I m hoping to buy the ps2 verson (plus network adapter) so i won't get any errors but can't afford to fix my computer + buy the ps2 verison of FF XI online. I wouldn't need to buy it if disk ONE was readable. Hopefully if i can ever get the right components together then i could live in haramony. :-)

Strip out Windows and learn how to work with Linux, it'll solve all your blue-screen problems.

I'd just like to note that microsoft claims XP gets rid of every blue screen problem, maybe it's different in Professional, i havent had one since i started using home, instead they've replaced it with random restarts, here you are typing away then next thing *pc turns off*

Either that, or like on my both my laptop (and my friend's laptop) it runs your CPU to Hell.

Well, I have gotten a lot less blue screens with XP Pro, but I can still make one pop up occasionally.

I'm sure in very small text under teh article it will say like "when working properly" the powersupply would definantly be the problem because ATI suggests a 350 watt or higher for your video card, and the removal of your video adapter causing it work better definantly diagnoses the problem as your power supply.

Right off the bat, I can plainly see that your PSU isn't enough, you will need more watt. More like 400, wich isn't that expensive.
